Three conversations are still waiting on you today.

  • Jordan asked at 11:20 AM if Friday’s dinner is still at 7.
  • Sam sent the plumber’s quote at 2:05 PM and asked if you want Tuesday.
  • Riley asked at 4:40 PM how much the venue deposit is.

The problem

Texts arrive in the middle of meetings, get read and then sink. By evening you no longer remember who asked what, and someone is still waiting on you.

What it does

Every weekday at 6 pm, this routine looks through today’s iMessage and SMS conversations in Messages on your Mac and picks out the ones you haven’t answered.

You get one short list in Littlebird, or by text: who is waiting and what they asked. Your Mac needs to be on with Littlebird running, and if it’s asleep at 6 pm, the routine waits for it, for up to about a day.

Try the prompt

Copy it into a new Littlebird routine, then set the days and times that fit your schedule

  1. Open Littlebird and go to Routines. Open the menu next to New Routine and choose Set up manually.
  2. Paste the prompt into Instructions, then set the days and time under Run.
  3. Littlebird runs it on schedule from then on. You can pause or edit it anytime. Auto-pause is on by default and pauses it if reports go unread.

You can also choose Create with Littlebird and describe the routine in chat.

Why make it a routine?

A chat can’t see your texts unless you copy them in, one conversation at a time.

This routine reads Messages on your Mac on its own every weekday at 6 pm and sends you only the conversations still waiting on you.
