Privacy, pricing, and what's next: the exchanges that stood out from Littlebird's first Reddit AMA on r/littlebird, with co-founder Alex Green answering live.

Maddie needed a 3:15 marathon to qualify for Boston. Littlebird already knew her training, so one question got her the mile-by-mile plan. A user story.

Why every meeting notes app feels like it's missing something: the meeting is one node in work spread across a dozen apps. What notes become with the context.

Productivity tools ask for skills ADHD makes hard: structure, upkeep, context-gathering. Why abandoning them is a design problem, not a discipline problem.

You have explained your project to your AI three times this month. Why context, not intelligence, is the real bottleneck for AI at work, and what fixes it.

Littlebird raises $11 million to build the first full-context AI: a desktop app that remembers your meetings, messages, docs, and browsing as you work.

What Littlebird drafts the investor update from, section by section: the monthly Routine prompt, a sample draft, what it can't see, the metrics you fill in, and how Briefer, Toyo, Town and ChatGPT differ.

Several apps write the daily journal for you, and they differ in what they write from: life data (Journaly, Jellyspot), your work (Littlebird), your own machine (Screenpipe). Day One Daily Chat and Rosebud write back.

The plain definition of a second brain app, how it works, how it differs from a notes app or an AI with memory, who needs one, why most die by month six, and the 7 best in 2026, ranked by how much you have to feed them.

Granola, Otter, Fathom, and Littlebird compared head to head: bot or no bot, what each knows after the call, free plan, paid price, and platforms, with a date on every fact.

Six Cluely alternatives beside Cluely in one table, on the same six axes, with every price read from the vendor's own pricing page and dated, plus a straight answer to whether Cluely is worth it.

What Littlebird writes the weekly status update from, source by source: the Routine prompt, a sample where every line names its source, what it can't see, and how generators and tracker agents differ.

The five steps to a personal AI knowledge base built from your own activity, done automatically by Littlebird or by hand with a vault, and how to pick between them.

Five Granola alternatives for AI meeting notes, compared on price, whether a bot joins, and which run on Windows and Mac. Pick by the thing you actually liked.

Six Rewind alternatives compared on storage, capture, platform, and price, sorted by which half of Rewind you used, plus the dated shutdown timeline and what to do with your data.

Where ChatGPT can see your screen, device by device, what it keeps when the chat ends, how to switch each mode off, and what Littlebird already saw without being asked. Dated from OpenAI's own documentation.

Every plan with the real numbers, what each tier actually adds, which one fits which person, and how the price compares with Granola, Otter, and Fathom.

The student plan, who qualifies, which of Littlebird's six plans the rate applies to, what it adds over the free tier, and what an assistant that saw every lecture changes about exam week.

Four routes to AI meeting prep from your calendar and email, each dated and sourced, what a brief should contain, and how Littlebird writes it from the last call, the open thread, and the event.

Five Otter alternatives that take notes with no bot in the call, ranked for 2026: how each captures the meeting, platforms, and dated prices. Plus Otter's own bot-free desktop app.

Six AI assistants for founders, sorted by the four jobs that eat the week: the Monday briefing, the investor update, the calls, and the decision log. One table, a dated fact card per tool, prices as of October 5, 2026.

The tools that prep a standup from Linear, compared by what each can see: tracker activity only, or the tracker plus the PR threads, calls, and Slack decisions. Setup and prompt included.

Six AI assistants for consultants, ranked on the criterion a consultant feels: does it keep seven clients apart, does anything visible join the call, and what does a seat cost, each sourced and dated.

Every productivity tool asks you to remember to use it. Pick the AI app by the job that keeps failing: planning, notes, tasks, or memory. Passive capture is the one design that never asks.

Ambient AI, defined in two sentences: AI that pays attention in the background and acts without being prompted. How it works, sourced 2026 examples, and the benefits and challenges, privacy first.

Not a screen recorder, no screenshots, no keystrokes. What the active window includes, what Littlebird ignores by design, how meetings are captured, and every control you have.

The eight safety questions people actually ask, each answered in its first sentence, with the cloud tradeoff stated up front and the people we tell not to use it.

Recall is Windows-only, on Copilot+ hardware, with no Mac version as of October 2026. What it requires, why a VM won't help, what macOS has instead, and the two Mac tools that cover the job.

Seven AI assistants with memory, each named with its reason: Littlebird for your work, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini for your chats, Notion AI and Mem for your notes, Screenpipe for a local database you run.

A step-by-step guide to bot-free AI meeting notes: the three capture methods, the Littlebird setup, the bot-free modes in Otter, Fathom, and Granola, and the consent rule that still applies.
