Keep every promise you make in meetings

'I'll send that over tomorrow.' 'We'll have an answer by Friday.' Meetings generate promises faster than any to-do list can catch, and the ones you make out loud are the easiest to forget -- because only the other person is tracking them.

For managers and founders, a dropped promise costs trust that takes months to rebuild.

This routine runs every Friday. It goes through the week's meetings, extracts the commitments you made, and checks each one against what actually happened -- the email that went out, the document that shipped, the message that never did.

You get a scorecard: promises kept, promises in progress, and promises that need a rescue note before the weekend.
