Several apps write the daily journal for you. The difference is what each writes from: life data (Journaly, Jellyspot), your work (Littlebird), or your own machine (Screenpipe).

Recall is Windows-only, on Copilot+ hardware. What it requires, why a VM won't help, what macOS has instead, and the two Mac tools that cover the job.

Whether Cluely is worth it, priced from its own pricing page, and the best Cluely alternative for each job, including the free open-source overlays.

The four-step setup for a weekly status report that writes itself, the five-heading template, and an honest comparison of generators, tracker agents, and Littlebird.

AI that drafts investor updates from your actual work: the structure investors read, and why a generic AI draft reads empty without it.

Four routes to AI meeting prep from your calendar and email, each dated and sourced, what a brief should contain, and how Littlebird writes it from the last call, the open thread, and the event.

A personal AI knowledge base from your own activity: the version that captures your work for you, the hand-built vault for people who'd rather file it themselves, and what smart actually means.

Seven second brains ranked by the one thing that decides whether you're still using it in month three: how much you have to feed it. Quick picks, a comparison table, and the honest catch for each.

Seven assistants ranked by where their memory comes from: what you told them, what you typed into them, or what you actually did. With a side-by-side table.

Six AI meeting note takers ranked for 2026, with each tool's capture method, free tier, paid-from price, and platforms verified September 23, 2026, plus the best pick for Mac and what the category costs.

Five Granola alternatives compared on price, whether a bot joins, and what each adds that Granola doesn't. Pick by the thing you actually liked.

Five Otter alternatives that take notes with no bot in the call, ranked for 2026: how each captures the meeting, platforms, and dated prices. Plus Otter's own bot-free desktop app.

The dated timeline of Rewind's shutdown, what to do about the data you still have, and the three successors, sorted by which half of Rewind you actually used.

A step-by-step guide to bot-free AI meeting notes: the three capture methods, the Littlebird setup, the bot-free modes in Otter, Fathom, and Granola, and the consent rule that still applies.

Six AI assistants for founders, sorted by the four jobs that eat the week: the Monday briefing, the investor update, the calls, and the decision log. One table, a dated fact card per tool, prices as of October 5, 2026.

The engineer's setup for a daily standup drafted from Linear, GitHub, and the meetings and screen Littlebird already saw: five steps, a copy-paste prompt, decision archaeology, and the safety facts.

Six AI assistants for consultants, ranked on the criterion a consultant feels: does it keep seven clients apart, does anything visible join the call, and what does a seat cost, each sourced and dated.

Every productivity tool asks you to remember to use it. Passive capture is the one design that doesn't, and it's the test for any AI app built for ADHD.

Ambient AI, defined in two sentences: AI that pays attention in the background and acts without being prompted. How it works, sourced 2026 examples, and the benefits and challenges, privacy first.

The fairest version of the question we get most, answered with what ChatGPT can actually see and remember as of September 2026, not with a slogan.

Every plan with the real numbers, what each tier actually adds, and which one fits which person.

The eight safety questions people actually ask, each answered in its first sentence, with the cloud tradeoff stated up front and the people we tell not to use it.

Not a screen recorder, no screenshots, no keystrokes. What the active window includes, what Littlebird ignores by design, how meetings are captured, and every control you have.

The student plan, who qualifies, what it adds over the free tier, and what an assistant that saw every lecture changes about exam week.
